Coahuila tourism industry advances in recovery

“After the impact of the Covid pandemic, this year sees a better scenario for the tourism industry in Coahuila, since the state will host national and international events and will participate in others of great projection”, said Governor Miguel Riquelme Solís.

“The confidence in Coahuila, in its infrastructure, connectivity, security, and quality of services, as well as the commitment of all those involved in the tourism sector, with the coordination of the state government, allowed the state to have been chosen for important meetings”, he stressed.

Saltillo and the Magical Town of Parras de la Fuente will receive from May 25 to 27 around 70 presidents of the different delegations of the National Chamber of the Restaurant, Food and Condiments Industry (CANIRAC), which will have their National Assembly.

From May 27 to 30, Saltillo will host the “2021 Annual and International Convention of Travel Agencies”, which will be attended by 400 travel agents from all over the country and international guests.

“The basis is the protection and safety of the health of citizens, from there the different sectors of the economy have been reactivated, and tourism is one of the most important,” he added.

Thus, said the president, “our state will have the opportunity to show its wealth to the affiliates of the Mexican Association of Travel Agencies the organizer of this activity.”

For the month of June, from 14 to 18, one of the most recognized rallies in Mexico in its type and organizational quality will take place: the Carrera Coahuila 1000, an activity full of adrenaline, which only last year allowed a large hotel occupancy and an economic spill of more than 35 million pesos.

On June 19 and 20, Coahuila will attend the Travel and Adventure Festival in Monterrey, a marketing event in the closest target market, Nuevo León, where the tourist offer will be available through tour operators, OCVs, and travel agencies.

In August, Torreón will host the Seventh Congress of the Mexican Association of Fair Venues, which will be attended by 150 people. The activity will allow promoting the tourism of meetings with the strength that the Torreón Convention Center represents.

Coahuila will participate in the Tianguis Turístico to be held in Mérida, Yucatán, from September 26 to 29.

“Our beloved state of Coahuila will once again receive one of the motorsport races with the greatest national and international tradition and prestige: the Great Pan American Race. It will take place from October 14 to 21 ”, stated the governor.

Coahuila will also participate in the Vallarta Nayarit Gastronómica 2021, showing its wines and gastronomic wealth.

For November, in Cuatro Cienegas, the Annual Convention of Hoteliers will take place, where issues such as the homologation of practices, training and work synergy will be endorsed in the sector.

That same month, from 22 to 25, Monclova will host the National Convention of Tour Operators, organized by the association that brings them together in the country, ANTOMEX. The event will bring together 200 participants from the Mexican Republic.

In November there will also be the Tianguis de Pueblos Mágicos, in the state of Hidalgo, where Coahuila will present the tourist offer of its seven Pueblos Mágicos.

Finally, Coahuila will attend the Binational Tourism Commission in Texas in December 2021.
