The senator of the party in power, the National Regeneration Movement (Morena), Armando Guadiana, unleashed a wave of criticism after showing off his trips to Los Angeles to attend the Super Bowl, one of the great sporting events that attract attention around the world.

It should be noted that for the game between Cincinnati Bengals vs Los Angeles Rams, the minimum price for a ticket was $7,500 dollars and $104,000 in the VIP area, so the legislator’s visit caused a wave of criticism, mainly because Guadiana represents the current policy headed by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, with the flag of austerity.

It should be remembered that just in November 2021, the then head of the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), Santiago Nieto Castillo, was involved in a scandal for having an ostentatious wedding in Guatemala, which ended in his dismissal.

On this occasion, through his Twitter account, Armando Guadiana shared a photograph where he is one of the attendees at SoFi Stadium, the scene where the Cincinnati Bengals and Los Angeles Rams meet.

“Enjoying one of my passions, for more than 30 years, together with my son Armando. The Bengals will win as they come hungry and thirsty for victory. Greetings to my Friends from Coahuila and Mexico! #SuperBowl56”, posted the legislator.

In another tweet, the senator denied the use of public resources to go to the main game of the NFL, however, this did not prevent him from being the target of dozens of criticisms.

For the former candidate for the governorship of Coahuila, this is not the first time that he has been involved in controversy, for example, when the Pandora Papers global investigation was published, in October 2021, Armando Guadiana appeared as one of those involved in the creation paper companies and also as a victim of a fraudulent operation.

In addition, in November of last year, another investigation revealed that at least three companies related to Senator Guadiana Tijerina were benefited by the government with tax debt forgiveness when the mining businessman was already a legislator for Morena in the upper house.
