Durango with Two Tickets in Mountain Biking

The Mountain Biking Macro Regional concluded, where tickets to the 2024 CONADE National Games were sought.

The Durango delegation had an acceptable performance by securing two tickets to the final phase that will take place in Jalisco on what was a very challenging track due to the heat of these northern lands.

The first ticket was obtained by Marijose Gallegos Olivas in the female category C, where Gallegos had to come from behind to achieve the fifth position with a time of 54 minutes and 16 seconds.

The second passport was secured by Josuha Guadalupe Zúñiga Soto, who flew on the track within the superior male category to finish in the first position with a time of 1:10:36, above the participants from Zacatecas, who gave him a battle but in the end, Zúñiga had an excellent race.

In the male category C, Erik Flores Castañeda managed to finish in position number 12, while Gilberto de la Cruz finished in position number 14, Alonso Hernández ended in place 18.

In the male B category, the Duranguese José Pablo Berumen, Mauricio Vargas Estrada, and Luis Fernando Berumen Benvomo, stayed in places 15, 19, and 20, respectively.

In other results in category A, it did not go very well for those from Durango, as Andrea Arellano and Josué de Jesús Ochoa did not perform well on the track this time.

In this Macro Regional, the states of Baja California Sur, Baja California, Sinaloa, Sonora, Chihuahua, San Luis Potosí, Zacatecas, Tamaulipas, Coahuila, Durango, and Nuevo León participated.
